- You are admitted as a patient in nursing home for long term care due to disability or
- You are getting supplemental security Income or social security Disability Insurance

The payment will be paid by the US Armed force four times in a year. The payment schedule as follow:-

- The Veteran served on active duty on or before 7th September, 1980 and served 90 days or more then 90 days on active military service along with one day or more during a covered wartime period.
- The veteran served on active duty on or after 7th September 1980 and served for 24 months or the full time period for which they were ordered or called to active duty (including some exception) along with served during a covered war time period for one day or above
- The veteran served as an officer and after 16th October 1981 work started on active duty and never served on active duty for 24 months or above.
